SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers General Manager Bill Zito announced today that the club has signed forward Juho Lammikko to a one-year, two-way contract.
Lammikko, 24, appeared in 22 games with Metallurg Magnitogorsk of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) in 2020-21, registering eight points (6-2-8). He spent the 2019-20 season with Kärpät (Liiga), ranking second on the club with 51 points (22-29-51) over 57 games.
The 6-foot-2, 191-pound native of Noormarkku, Finland made his National Hockey League debut in the 2018-19 season, playing in 40 regular season games with Florida and posting six assists.
He has played in 143 career American Hockey League (AHL) regular season games with the Springfield Thunderbirds (2016-17 to 2018-19) and Portland Pirates (2015-16), amassing 57 points (20-37-57).
Prior to his professional career, Lammikko played two seasons for the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) from 2014-15 to 2015-16, producing 99 points (40-59-99) over 123 games.
On the international stage, Lammikko won Gold Medals with Finland at the 2016 IIHF World Junior Championship and the 2019 IIHF World Championship.
Lammikko was originally selected by Florida in the third round (65th overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft.
