Sergei Shirokov scored and Eddie Lack made 20 saves as the Manitoba Moose defeated the Houston Aeros 1-0 in American Hockey League action Saturday.
Shirokov scored the game’s only goal at 3:51 of the third period. A low shot by Travis Ramsey deflected off Houston goaltender Anton Khudobin’s and pads right on to Shirokov’s stick.
Manitoba (15-10-4) increased its winning streak to three games, and Lack has been the starter for all three victories. The Swedish rookie has stopped 85 of 89 shots over that span.
Khudobin stopped 19 of 20 shots for the Aeros (16-14-3).
