Babchuk powers Flames past Senators, earns first star of the game

Tim Jackman scored twice, Anton Babchuk had a goal and two assists, and Jokinen had a goal and an assist for Calgary, which has won eight of nine.

With Calgary trailing 2-1 after the first, Glencross said the club took time to regroup during the intermission.

“We came back here and refocused after the first period and went back out and stuck to our game plan,” he said. “We got bodies and pucks to the net.”

Since losing 6-0 at home to Minnesota on Jan. 19, the Flames have gone 8-0-1 to climb back into contention in the Western Conference playoff race.
