It didn’t look too different on the surface. The Predators starting goaltender on Tuesday was a tall, skinny blonde guy.
Looking a little closer, it was actually a big deal.
Pekka Rinne, the Predators’ No. 1 goalie, started against Calgary after missing the last three games with a lower-body injury suffered in the season opener on Oct. 9. He was solid from the start and shut out the Flames in regulation, but he gave up a fluky game-winning goal in overtime.
