Russia’s top ice hockey stars Aleksandr Ovechkin, Ilya Kovalchuk and Evgeny Malkin joined forces to play a charity match to raise money for children affected by last month’s forest fires.
It has been a while since Russian ice hockey fans have been able to see the likes of Aleksandr Ovechkin, Evgeny Malkin and Ilya Kovalchuk playing on home ice.
However, a packed arena in the country’s capital offered the perfect opportunity to see the heroes.
