“Tough break for goalie Pekka Rinne, who had a second straight strong outing. Despite suffering the shootout loss, Rinne was credited with his third shutout of the season and also stopped eight-of-10 Phoenix shootout attempts. If Rinne gets the start on Thursday, it will mark the first time either Pred goalie has had three consecutive starts since Rinne did Dec. 8-12.”
