Rinne spectacular in loss Thursday, Named First Star Of The Game

Pekka Rinne allowed one goal on 30 shots in the Nashville’s 1-0 loss to Vancouver in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals on Thursday night.

Rinne was one of the NHL’s top goalies during the regular season but it had not carried over to the post-season until tonight as he was spectacular in the loss. The Vezina candidate had several impressive stops among his 29 saves to keep the Preds in the game despite his team being outshot and outplayed for long stretches.
