SABRES RECALL GRIGORENKO FROM ROCHESTER

 

NHL: New Jersey Devils at Buffalo Sabres

 

The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has recalled forward Mikhail Grigorenko from the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Grigorenko (5/16/94, 6’3″, 211 lbs), who will join the Sabres for the first time this season, is currently tied for second on the Amerks with seven goals in 2014-15 and has tallied 19 points (7+12) in 27 games played. In 43 NHL games played with the Sabres through parts of two seasons, he has recorded eight points (3+5).

Drafted by the Sabres in the first round (12th overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft, Grigorenko signed an entry-level contract with the club in July 2012. The Khabarovsk, Russia native has also played parts of three seasons (2011-12 – 2013-14) for the Quebec Remparts of the QMJHL.
